We developed the Horry County project as a hybrid residential development and family compound, combining multiple housing types on one property. The plan includes four single-family homes, two duplexes, and a larger estate home for the owner at the back of the site.
The project had to work at two scales at once: as a place for extended family to live near one another and as a collection of investment properties that could be rented or sold. We used the site plan to establish clear relationships between the homes, circulation, access, and shared context while allowing the individual buildings to maintain their own residential identity.
The result is a development strategy that uses one property to support multigenerational living and long-term investment without treating the site as a conventional subdivision.
